Chad Becker, Varsity Coach for Eden Prairie High School’s Volleyball Program, is hosting a series of Girls Volleyball Camps this summer.  Becker will be assisted by other EPHS coaches along with other experienced coaches, including many Eden Prairie volleyball alumni and college players.   The summer camps are a great opportunity to advance a player’s skills along with learning to play “THE EDEN PRAIRIE WAY”!
 
Camp sessions and groups are tailored to age (kindergarten – 12^th grades) and ability/experience level (beginners to elite players). All camps will be held at the Eden Prairie High School Activity Center, this is on the north side of EPHS.   Register for the grade the player will be entering in the fall. Girls Beginners All Skills Camp

Participants: 

• All girls entering kindergarten through 4th grade in fall 2023
• Girls entering 5th - 8th grades in fall 2023 and who are NEW to the sport or with LIMITED playing experience.  Designed for girls who have no previous competitive league experience.
• Open to all girls regardless of residency or school
• ​All players should bring a water bottle, snack and knee pads.  Appropriate attire includes shorts/spandex and comfortable t-shirt.

 
Dates: June 19 - 22,  Monday – Thursday
Time:  TBD
Fee: $125 if registered by May 15; $150 after May 15

Register by the grade your daughter will be in for the 2023-24 school year.
 
This camp is designed for players new to volleyball or with limited experience.  It will cover all of the basic fundamental skills including passing, serving, setting, attacking and defense.  The fundamentals and skill development is the same training that EPHS student athletes learn and execute. 
 
Girls participating in the Beginners All Skills camp will be divided into the following groups with dedicated coaches for each group:  K-2^nd, 3^rd/ 4^th, 5^th/ 6^th, 7^th/ 8^th.  There will be some deviation due to skill level, and the 5^th – 8^th grade groups will be accelerated to prepare girls for competitive league play in the fall.
 
 
Girls Elite I Camp – Grades 5^th – 9^th

Participants:

• Girls entering 5^th – 9^th  grades in fall 2023
• Open to all girls regardless of residency or school
• Players with organized school, competitive league, JO Prep/development league, or JO Club playing experience

  • Please carefully consider your daughters placement in the Beginners Camp versus the Elite I Camp.  For the benefit of all participants, we are aiming to align the skill levels as best we can.  Should it become apparent that a player is registered in the wrong camp (once camp begins) you may be requested to move between Beginners and Elite Camp I for the enjoyment of the players.​

This camp is designed for young players with experience who want high level training in each of the individual skills of competitive volleyball.  Not a camp designed for players just beginning, it is instead for players who have played on an organized school or club team and want to receive training from highly skilled coaches who love teaching fundamentals to young players. 

Participants:

• Registration limited to girls that live in Eden Prairie or attend Eden Prairie Schools
• Girls entering 7th – 12th  grades in fall 2023
• Girls MUST have experience with EPVA JO, high school play or approved equivalent

This camp is designed for experienced players that have at least one year of volleyball club experience or organized school team experience.  This camp is intended for those players who are motivated to advance their volleyball skills and to help them compete at a higher level.  This camp will cover all of the fundamental skills involved with volleyball as well as team training.  The camp will be very similar to an Eden Prairie High School practice and training.

 
Boys All Skills Camp

Participants: 

• Designed for boys at ALL levels of experience from Beginner to Organized League Play
• Players will be grouped according to skill level
• Open to all boys regardless of residency or school
• ​All players should bring a water bottle, snack and knee pads.  Appropriate attire includes shorts and comfortable t-shirt.

 
Dates: June 19 - 22,  Monday – Thursday

Grades 6-12

Time:  TBD
Fee:    $125
