Steph played volleyball for the University of Minnesota and earned All-American and All-Big Ten awards as a middle blocker. After college she played one professional club season in Europe before turning her volleyball interest to beach volleyball. She trained for and played on the AVP tour for 3 years and spent time traveling while playing in beach tournaments. Her top beach accolades include winning 2 NORCECA tournaments; one in Puerto Rico and one in El Salvador.
Steph has been coaching in Edina for 8 years; 4 years as the Varsity coach and 7 years as the Club Director for the Edina Community Club program. Steph has coached 1st-12th graders in both indoor and outdoor volleyball and is currently the EP Boys Volleyball Head Coach and Varsity Assistant for the EP high school girls' volleyball team . She lives in Eden Prairie and continues to play indoor and beach volleyball in the community.
